ww1 Austro-Hungarian weapons and equipment - ww1 - wwi reference chart
As many of the belligerent nations the Austro-Hungarian army had supplied a strange combination of modern and antique equipment, because due to the enrolled of a huge number of men the army depots and the arsenals production didn't supply the needed amount of modern weapons
The front-line troops were armed with the modern Mannlicher M1895, an excellent rifle with a very rapid fire, the troops of the second and third line were equipped with the Männlicher 1888 and with the obsolete rifle Werndl.

if you have ever had bullets go over your head, you would know why the Italian troops called the M1895 Mannlicher "Ta Pum" they even made a song about it
the Steyr M1912 pistol is outstanding, a powerful cartridge, very unEuropean as well, it had no removable, losable magazine, but loaded well from the top
